Serial no. 125; .31 caliber, 12 inch part octagonal, part round barrel with brass blade front sight; the top of frame marked A RUGGLES / STAFFORD / (CONN); left side of barrel breech marked CAST.STEEL; leaf and floral engraving and bird motif engraved on top and angle flats of frame; brass mounts to varnished curly maple grips.
