S&W Schoffield' S 1st Model

Manufactured in 1875 for a total of 3035 revolvers, the second model was manufactured enter 1876 and 1877 to 5934 specimens cal.45 S&W.

The first model is numbered from 1 to 3035, the US department Ordnance ordered and acquired the entirety of the production for the army.

One can easily differentiate the two variations with the clamp from locking gun-carcass.

The near total of Schoffield were repurchased with the army end 19th by Banerman and were reconditioned (bluish, nickelled, shortened,) to be resold on the civil market, amongst other things in Wells Fargo.
