Smith & Wesson 586

The Smith & Wesson 586 is one of the first "L frames".

The idea was to combine the handling of a "K frame" with the resistance to heavy loads of an "N frame". As well as the addition of adjustable sights.

When Smith & Wesson stopped producing its blued revolvers, the 586 was doomed as well. Enthusiasts demanded it so much that it reappeared in 2012 in the "Classic Line" range in its eighth generation.
