Pair of George III silver mounted flintlock brass barelled holster pistols signed "John Bennett, Royal Exchange, London".

16" overall with 10" octagonal to round brass barrels signed with the maker's name and address. Engraved locks signed "Bennett" in an oval cartouche and profusely engraved in floral panels and stand of arms- as well as a "jack" shield on the tails.

Very finely engraved hammers and tangs.

Ornate repousse silver mounts bearing noted gold and silversmith Moses Brent's mark and date stamped for 1781.

Walnut stocks with ornate "shell" carvine about barrel tang and chequered at the wrists.

Barrels with London Gunmaker's company proofs and the maker's barrel proofs.
