Double Action Percussion Pepperbox Pistol by John Blissett, High Holborn, London: 44 cal. percussion, 6-shot smoothbore, 4" fluted barrel cluster, each barrel numbered, from 1 to 6. Overall length 9".

Frame, triggerguard, and bar hammer profusely scroll engraved.

Left side of frame with maker name and address marking, within engraved cartouche, marking also on side of barrel over one of chambers. Barrel flutes with British proof marks, either crown over GP or crown over V.

Sliding safety locking hammer. Blued and case-hardened finish. Chequered walnut grip. Silver oval thumbpiece escutcheon inlaid on top of grip. Engraved lid to steel cap compartment in butt.
