Unusual Percussion Knife Pistol, Blade Signed "W. Watson, Inventor": Showing "VR" and crown marking.

Approx. 8" overall with nearly 4" percussion barrel showing British proofs, stag grips, German silver hinged butt cap with contains the original loading rod and mold. Blade is a spear-point type measuring approx. 4", pistol is approx. 11 1/2" overall with the blade unfolded. Lovely dark patina on the stag grips, steel blade and mounts show a grey/brown patina. Barrel is of alloy such as German silver or Britannia metal. Blade shows a trace of an original etched pattern. An early and high quality knife pistol from which the later Unwin & Rodgers may have developed.
