WEBLEY & SCOTT MK III
Webley & Scott Mark III 38cal s&w with a 4" barrel.
This appears to be a gun which was manufactured for the commerical market.
WEBLEY & SCOTT MK III SIGNAL GUN
World war one era WEBLEY & SCOTT MK III signal gun.
Introduced around 1910 and used thru out WWI, this pistol has a 4" barrel and had and original 1" bore.
It was subsequently sleeved for a smaller cartridge (3/4") some where along it’s long life.
Constructed of heavy gauge brass – bronze with walnut grips.
Broad arrow proofed and dated 1916.
These pistols were issued to british army, naval, and early flying services.
