Robust 214
Rifle Robust 214 gauges 16-65 of the Manufacture Française d'Armes et Cycles de Saint Etienne.
This rifle is a simple model with extractor, without automatic strap and comprises a buttplate out of steel.
Like all rifles of this time, it is choké 1/2 and full.
It is a rifle derived from the system Anson Deeley, with modified trigger.
The forearm is known as with pressure; i.e. without pump of disassembling.
In addition to the traditional rational bolt of Robust, we find a second bolt in prolongation of band Scott kind.
Robust rifle left in 1913 and always manufactured knew many models and modifications.
The model presented at the characteristic to present the double classification only appeared in 1931.
Before this date, the models of Robust comprised one or two digits: 1, 2, 3… 26,30 etc
After 1931, the models pass to the top from 200:202, 208, 244, 250 etc

Let us notice that this model is still has long hoop (74mm), to compare with one 222 with short hoop (61 mm) more recent.
Robust rifles had the reputation to have an excellent barrel foundry which did not have anything to envy rifles of luxury much more expensive.
