Adolf Frank

This weapon is German and is supposed to draw from the ammunition “Scheintodt”.

Does Scheintodt mean “distorts dead” what would like to say that this cartridge would contain a product (a gas perhaps!!) which would put in a state of coma (???)

Here is another Scheintodt: https://www.littlegun.be/collection%20privee/belgique/be%20klmno/a%20be%20martin%20jean%20francois%20gb.htm

The barrel of this weapon is not made to resist the pressure of a normal cartridge, therefore logically this weapon does not require any authorization.

Adolf Frank

Calibre 12 mm or .410 ?

Adolph Frank Export Co.

This small pistol is loading by a cartridge 12mm Scheintod (= show of dead) of teargas, then not intended for leads.

It could be a question of the eagle “alfa” of the commercial punch of: Adolph Frank Export Co. from Hamburg.

D.R.P.: Deutsches Reichspatent (= Patented German after 1871)

DRGM: Deutsches Reichs Gebrauchs Muster (after 1891: Patent limited to 10 years duration).

One often finds both without number of patent on cheap goods.

There is also a punch of test (German Eagle of before 1939).
