Colt Commando WWII revolver, .38 Special, 4 inch barrel, parkerized finish, plastic grips, last patent date is Oct. 5,1926.
This revolver was issued to Major General Charles M. Duke in 1969 when he was North Atlantic division engineer in New York City.
Top of barrel contains patent dates.
This has the Ordnance Dept flaming bomb on the left side of the frame (near hammer) and is properly marked "Colt Commando .38 Special".
