Smith and Wesson 22 caliber "Number 1"

This is a Smith and Wesson 22 caliber "Number 1", Revolver manufactured by Rollin White Arms Company and so stamped on the 3 inch barrel.

Rollin White Co. was formed in 1861 to meet the demand for revolvers that Smith and Wesson could not fill for the Civil War.

Walnut grips are excellent. Blue finish is turning brown.
