Johann Missillieur

Johann Missillieur, Vienna, circa 1830. A long, slightly swamped, (reblued) octagonal barrel with patent breechblock and six groove rifled bore in 8 mm calibre.

Gold band decoration on chamber and muzzle.

The top of the barrel is signed, "MISSILLIEUR A VIENNE" in gold.

Dovetailed front sight and two piece folding rear sight.

Percussion lock cut with floral designs. Single set trigger.

Walnut stock with chequered butt.

Beautifully engraved iron furniture with a large side plate. Length 44 cm.

Johann Missillieur, (1781 -1835) came from Lyon, became a Master in Vienna in 1821, and moved to Prague in 1834.
