Rare and Historic Prototype Steyr Semi-Automatic Pistol, with Rotating Barrel System, in .45ACP Caliber

c. 1911 Serial no. 120, .45 caliber, approximately 5 1/2-inch barrel encased within shroud, top flat of barrel rib neatly stamped with GR monogram within circle, accompanied by PATENT and 120 markings; rear sight a notch machined into aperture at top of breech designed to help guide magazine when cartridges inserted into breech; overall length: .8 3/4-inches.

Breech bolt pulled rearward manually, to allow for insertion of cartridges; hammer initially cocked manually; knurled switch protrudes through machined oval on left side of frame, allowing for release of bolt; knurled hammer cocks manually, by pulled rearward, or by pulling on double action trigger.

Front sight a steel blade machined integral to forward terminal of rib; blued finish, with the bolt polished bright; chequered walnut grips.
