Comblain Brazilian 2nd model of 1874
A Model 2 as modified to Model 3 in 1878 and to a Model 4 in 1885 with a full handguard.
Cal 11mm x 50.5mm rimmed Comblain.
This is one of the rifles from the collection of Jonathan Kirton and is part of the subject of the series of articles in the Gun Report. See page 31-33 November 2004 Vol 50. This piece comes with an original Model 1873 bayonet with the original scabbard.
