Brazilian Carbine Model 4

Officially known as the Artillery + Engineers Carbine of 1892 Model 4 Mosquetao, this example is illustrated on Page 39 of the Gun Report no. 7 of December, 2004, figure 96.

A rare item as only 3000 were ordered. The article's author, Mr. Jonathan Kirton, lists only 8 examples known to him throughout the world. Chambered for the 11mm X 42 Rimmed Brazilian Carbine Cartridge.

Manufactured by EM+L. Nagant at Liege after the Comblain patent had expired in 1888.

A rare falling block military carbine as illustrated + recorded in the Gun Report.

This carbine comes with the very scarce Brazilian Army Model 1888 bayonet marked IB (Empire of Brazil).
