.78 caliber at muzzle, brass frame and part round part octagonal flared smoothbore 4 1/4-inch brass barrel, left side of frame engraved above steel belthook: W. BOND within banner motif; right side engraved LOMBARDS/59/LONDON within oval; stand of arms, floral and border engraving on frame; engraved steel triggerguard, which moves backward to release spring bayonet; engraved silver buttcap and scalloped silver escutcheon inlay on back of checkered and varnished walnut grip; boxlock flintlock action with sliding hammer safety.
British proofmarks on bottom of barrel at breech.
Brass ramrod on right side of barrel.
Overall length with bayonet extended, 11 3/4-inches.
