Wilsons Thomas

I found a Wilson short rifle undated and not bearing any serial number but was possibly manufactured between 1867 and 1874.  The barrel has Liège proof marks and the whole rifle is covered with the stamps of BF (manufactured by Beuret Frères in Liege). This is the only example I have found worldwide and is an interesting piece.

Wilson’s patent was registered in Belgium and I obtained the following detail from the authorities:

Year: 1859, Patent N. 008275 Date: 1859/11/24, Name:  WILSON Thomas, Address:  IXELLES  (B) Imp. Perfectionnements apportés aux armes à feu et aux canons se chargeant par la culasse

Kind Regards
