It’s the lawful British handgun of the 18th century and the beginning of 19th in the “Navy”.
The specimen presented concerns one of the very first productions. It is gone back to 1744 and is signed Smith.
The lock is marked of a crown and initial GR (Georgius Rex) of the name of the reigning sovereign.
