ARIZMENDI Y GOENAGA Francisco
It is a
Spanish Nagant, copy of the famous Belgian Nagant.
Manufactured by Francisco Arizmendi, with the typical markings of the brand.
It does
not have the barrel advance system, typical of the Nagant, to seal the gas
tightness.
It can be
in 8mm Lebel or in 7.62 Nagant.
Was
included in the catalog of F. A. (Francisco Arizmendi) of 1913/1914, under the
name of "Revolver de oficial".
As for
the date I can give it for sure with the marking of the punches of Eibar. It is
the letter D, corresponding to 1931. But it is likely that it was manufactured a
little earlier, and that they were slow to test it)
The offer
lasted until the 1920s, during which time F.A. bought them from Beistegui
Hermanos, who manufactured them without a license, since it had been denied to
them. (They had requested "Nagani extra".
The
weapons were marked at F.A.
The
plates are original, very beautiful AND VERY SOUGHT AFTER IN SPAIN....
