This is
undoubtedly a Mauser for the Spanish aviation mod 44 7.9.
This is
indeed a model 44 and not 43, the latter has the double bayonet tang, not the
Mod 44 and moreover the markings on the thunder are totally different.
It could
be that the weapon is a 44, but the wood a 43!
