Pair of French Screw-Barrel Box-Lock Flintlock Pistols by Allevin, Paris, c. 1800

1 1/4-inch border engraved barrels inscribed ALLEVIN PARIS, box-lock actions engraved with draperies and floral scrolls, half-cock thumb safeties, walnut stocks with shell-carved panels, checkered grips embellished with rose-carved roundels, the spines of each grip inset with mother-of-pearl escutcheons and twenty-eight silver studs.
