MODEL MAB PA-15 and MAB P 15 F1 for the shooting (1966).
Manufacture d’Armes de Bayonne (MAB) and the Company MABCO, Biarritz since manufacture is closed.
France.
Pistol MAB PA-15, appeared in 1966, is derived from the model MAB P-8 from which it differs mainly by a carcass widened for employment from a charger with great capacity. It has same operation with a breech fixed by short retreat and helicoids rotation of the barrel. The lock in simple action has a hammer external provided with a squared and bored round peak of a hole. The steel slide has vertical scratches of gripping, with a small triangular handlebar and a fixed bead gone up to dovetail. The steel carcass has an oval trigger guard and the lever of safety is placed at its left back. The lever of disassembling-stop of slide at the end of the charger, is on the left above the trigger and the push rod of the bolt of charger is placed at the left rear of the trigger guard. The plates are out of squared black plastic with name MAB moulded in the higher part or out of plastic striated in width. The completion is bronzed.
The version F 1 is identical to the operation point of view of, but remotely by a slide and a gun lengthened with the ring of the barrel (bushing) which is assembled by screwing (instead of being blocked by a pin). The rise is now with micrometric adjustment (instead of the bead out of U derivable) and the handlebar, now assembled on a slope, is assembled to dovetail. The trigger is also now adjustable. If not all the remainder is identical to MAB PA-15, as well as the completion which is bronzed black.
The MAB having definitively closed its doors in September 1982. The former employees of the MAB founded at the end of 1984 company MABCO and they took again the production of MAB PA-15.
