Fillon

Luxury flintlock rifle by FILLON (or Sillon) a furbisher, arquebusier and "Fournisseur du Roy" at the end of the 18th century, specializing in luxury firearms in Paris, 239 rue Michel Pelletier.

Associated with Laugumier from 1799.

This weapon was manufactured in 1776/1777, two years after the beginning of the reign of Louis XVI, as evidenced by the goldsmith's hallmarks.

- Crowned A, charge mark (piece presented to the town hall, the goldsmith will have to pay a tax) for the city of Paris from November 1774 to July 1780.

Mark that guarantees that it is silver, verified by the association of goldsmiths of Paris

- Bull's head, discharge mark of Paris (the goldsmith has paid his tax to the King)

- Crowned N, year of manufacture 1776/1777.

Recognized as a Master Arquebusier Arbalétrier by the creation of a Masterpiece in 1770.

Precisely on December 29, 1770...................This may be his masterpiece????

He signed among other things a sumptuous pair of pistols for an officer of the "Grenadiers ŕ cheval de la Maison du Roi", dated 1775, which went on sale in Lyon on March 9, 2003.
