Fontvieille

This rifle is the subject of a patent of 1862; it is all that I can say. At that time is indexed a "Fontvieille & Co" to St Quentin in Aisne (F). I suppose that Fontvieille proposed its invention (actually a transformation) with the tests of the Belgian army, which explains its presence in the collections of the Royal Museum of Brussel.
