Pirmet Baucheron

A very early percussion gun. Nicely engraved throughout. Marked "Pirmet a Paris" on one side of the barrel and "Fini par Baucheron" on the other. Beautiful hallmarked solid silver butt-cap bearing  the Royal Arms of France crest.  Very unusual left side lock. One of the first percussion lock ever made on a military pistol. For a Royal-Guard Officer during the French Restoration.

NOTE : PIRMET / Gun-Maker in Paris from 1801 to 1818. Gun-Maker of the king Louis the 18th in 1816

Many thanks to "ANTIQUEFIREARMS" for the pictures.
