1822 T Bis saddle pistol "build new"

Second Empire Mle 1822 T Bis saddle pistol ("build new" model - false flintlock converted to percussion) normally the 1822T bis are "Royal", the new ones Imperial.

The barrel is the 1842 model with a so-called "forge catch".

The rifled caliber is 17.6 and fires the 17.2 spherical projectile or the Mle 1857 ball in 17.2 cal too - the powder measuring rod is used to remove the charge from a regulation rifle cartridge (bleed the 2.5g cartridge and load with the remaining two grams!!)

Here the model in new condition

A 1822T Bis with original barrel from 1830 and below the "New Build" With forge catch and some accessories.
