Pistolet 1858T de marine
A rather
rare 1858 T marine, final transformation of the 1858 model and its adaptation to
the 1870 cartridge with central percussion.
This is
indeed an 1858 T and not an 1858 NT, because at the base we find one of the
first productions (1858) with a 2-screw cap. The 1858 NTs come from the second
production (cap with one screw and hook). The transformation to central
percussion does not seem to have been applied to the models with a “diamond” cap
and finger rest.
