Jean de Wijk, Utrecht, circa 1700. Two-stage barrel, ridged on the chamber, then round after a baluster with a smooth bore in 18 mm calibre and a brass front sight.

The flintlock cut with floral designs and a signature, "I. DE WIJK" behind the cock.

Set trigger with a (shortened) hair trigger.

Carved walnut full stock with patch box and brass furniture cut in relief.

The openwork side plate bears a putto and grotesque mask.

Wooden ramrod with a long horn tip.
