Le Sauveur
Here is a
very curious 6.35mm caliber sliding block pistol, called Le Sauveur, with the
inscription B(reve)té SGDG PS and a diamond. This, of course, indicates its
French origin. There are no other markings, proof mark, or manufacturing number.
Our
research has so far been unsuccessful in determining the inventor and
manufacturer of this rather strange and certainly very unusual weapon.
