DEVISME Jean-Louis François
A rather nice Devisme 1860 (with internal hammer) “rejuvenated” by me (saved from the beginning of rust).
Caliber 12 mm
Length 330 mm
Barrel length 160 mm
Weight 1100 gr
Cylinder 44 mm
Markings:
Devisme in Paris (on the upper band)
Devisme bte 1285 (to the right of the frame, in front of the cylinder)
DV crowned in an oval on the lower band of the frame
2 unreadable punches on the cylinder.
More interesting, a view comparing an 1855 from the very first production (with external hammer) and the 1860 with internal hammer.
Significant differences in the shape of the front of the frame and the characteristics of the mechanism.
